Why choose Kelpak?

Kelpak is auxin-rich, which primarily supports rooting and flowering. Of course, it is okay to use it during intensive growth, because you can start your lunch with dessert, for example.

Quality algae products work in the following way:

The nutrients they contain – primarily meso and microelements – can be immediately absorbed by the plant. This can reduce the development of nutrient deficiencies

The betaine in algae products reduces the effect of abiotic stress, such as frost damage

The lipids and polysaccharides in premium algae products provide energy for the plant

How to apply?

For root irrigation, use a 1% solution, i.e. 1 dl Kelpak per 10L of water. For foliage treatment, use a 1-2% solution, i.e. 1-2 dl Kelpak per 10L of spray solution, and spray it on the green foliage.

Why should I choose this?

It is worth checking the algae concentration of the product. If it is close to 20%, then we are talking about a product with a high active ingredient content. Be careful not to be misled by the term algae concentrate, because it is not the same as the algae content.

It is also important to note which algae species the product contains. If you buy a product made from Ascophyllum nodosum type algae (Asco Alga), it will support intensive growth and development. Ecklonia maxima (Kelpak) primarily supports rooting and flowering.

It is better to buy a pure algae product without any additional additives, as it is more likely to be organic and will not dilute the active ingredient content of the product with cheaper nutrients.

Our Asco Alga product (TSL 29) has an EU Declaration of Conformity. The packaging of the product may vary, but the quality of the product inside remains the same.

Storage

It retains its warranty for at least 36 months in its original packaging between 5-30 Celsius. It should be used as soon as possible after opening, but if stored tightly closed and refrigerated, it can be used for 6 months without deterioration in quality.

What does it contain? 

The Kelpak algae preparation in DanubaGarden's offer contains substances with an auxin effect. Kelpak contains Ecklonia maxima algae, which is grown in the ocean off the coast of South Africa.

Kelpak contains nearly 100 types of biologically active substances, which together cause an auxin-like effect: carbohydrates, minerals, amino acids, alginates, polyamines, lipids, phlorotannins, brassinosteroids.

In addition to supporting seed germination and developing root mass, Kelpak algae also has several other positive effects:

increases pollen germination and pollen tube sprouting in the flower

preventively provides protection against various biotic and abiotic stress sources, e.g. frost damage

The active ingredients in Kelpak have an auxin effect. Auxin is the plant hormone that is necessary for the development of a large root mass and perfect flowering. In other words, if someone wants to enhance rooting or flowering biologically, we think the best solution is to use Kelpak.

But what is auxin? 

Auxin was the first plant hormone discovered. It was described in 1920 by Dutch biologist Dr. Frits Warmolt Went. This name comes from the Greek word for growth. Plants can control their bodies without a nervous system, with the help of their hormone system. The ratio of different plant hormones to each other is very important, in different parts of the plant. This affects their effect, for example, whether the root grows or the shoot.

How does it exert its effect?

When the auxin-effect molecule reaches the cell, it reacts with a protein molecule there and later activates previously inactive genes on the chromosome.
